2021 Toyota Venza
The all-new 2021 Toyota Venza is a hybrid crossover midsize SUV that has a luxurious interior that seats five people. Toyota revived the Venza name from the former vehicle that was a wagon/crossover of the Camry, shelved in 2015. This new two-row Venza is largely based on the larger RAV4 but is equipped more like the Highlander. With only one engine option, the 2021 Venza provides plenty of power for everyday driving.
Trim Levels
There are three trims available with the 2021 Toyota Venza: the LE, XLE, and Limited. The base trim includes 18-inch wheels and LED headlights, while the XLE trim bumps up the wheel size to 19 inches and adds roof rails and projector-style LED headlights.
Engine
The powertrain found with the 2021 Toyota Venza is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). This engine produces 219 horsepower.
Performance
The hybrid system of the 2021 Venza gives you plenty of power. Expect the vehicle to go from zero to 60 mph in about seven seconds, which is about average. There's also an Eco score screen on the instrument panel, so you can enhance your braking, accelerating, and cruising capabilities.
Interior
Its stylish and well-constructed interior makes the 2021 Venza stand out against others in its class. Many of its materials could easily be found in Toyota's luxury Lexus brand. The XLE trim adds heated front seats and optional synthetic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable passenger seat. The top-of-the-line Limited trim comes standard with all the optional features found on other trims.
For cargo space, the Venza has 28.7 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. Folding down these seats increases that number to 54.9 cubic feet. The base trim has an optional hands-free power liftgate to help you get your items in and out of the cargo area.
To keep everyone connected, the Venza comes with the Entune infotainment system, which has a simple interface as well as physical controls for audio and climate functions. It sits on an 8-inch touch-screen display and comes with satellite and HD radio, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, six speakers, four USB ports, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Available upgrades include a 12.3-inch touch-screen display, navigation, and a premium nine-speaker stereo system.
Safety Features
The 2021 Toyota Venza comes standard with almost a dozen safety features - more than many others in its class. Some of these features include rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition. Most of these features are part of Toyota's Safety Sense 2.0 technology suite. There are also several upgrades available, including front and rear parking sensors, a head-up display, and a surround-view parking camera system.
Thanks to these impressive safety features, the Venza earned a perfect five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The SUV received five stars for the side crash test and four for the rollover and frontal crash tests.
