  1. Hope and Anchor

Hope and Anchor is known for its unique cocktails. There’s also a large patio where you can sip your cocktail in the great outdoors. Try the Capital Punishment with ghost pepper vodka, Bloody Mary mix, and Italian salt on the rim. The Summer Sangria has apricot gin, elderflower, seasonal fruit, and sparkling wine, and the Left of Albuquerque uses carrot-infused gin. Several beers are available including Lindemans Framboise Raspberry, Black Chocolate Stout, Stella Artois, Red Stripe, Sam Adams Boston Lager, and Coors. This bar opens its doors Monday through Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. Though temporarily closed, they are looking forward to opening back up and welcoming their patrons in!

  1. The Black Orchid Lounge

The Black Orchid Lounge is a speakeasy-style bar that specializes in craft cocktails. They have a variety of fine wines as well. The Backyard Burn has gin, scotch, bitter aperitif, barbecue bitters, and aloe liqueur. The Bee Scream contains gin, honey liqueur, lemon, and coconut cream. You can have tacos, pizza, nachos, or an olive salad with your drink too.

The Hangover Fries come with cheese, ranch dressing, bacon bits, and pickled jalapenos. You can add chicken or steak to make them more filling if you’d like. For dessert, get some hot churros filled with dulce de leche and covered with cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla ice cream.

The Black Orchid hosts live jazz, open mic, and trivia events often, and they’ve been mentioned in some of the most prestigious publications in the city, including the El Paso City Magazine, the El Paso Times, Texas Monthly, and El Paso Fusion. You can visit from 5 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, the Black Orchid closes at 2 a.m.

  1. Park Tavern

Park Tavern is a restaurant with an extensive list of excellent cocktails, beer, and wine. It has an elegant look with a large bar. The building is more than 100 years old, and private booths are available. The Union Martini has gin, grapefruit juice, hibiscus syrup, lime, and triple sec. The Perfect Hibiscus Margarita comes with tequila, hibiscus syrup, and egg white foam. Choose the Mills Lemonade for vodka, homemade lemonade, and raspberry liqueur.

You can enjoy crab cakes, fried oysters, or the meat and cheese plate with homemade jam, pickled vegetables, nuts, bread, and fresh berries. Park Tavern is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It closes at 11 p.m. on Friday, and it’s open from 4 to 11 p.m. on Saturday. Happy hour happens on weekdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
