2024 Toyota bZ4x

The 2024 Toyota bZ4X, the automaker’s first mass-produced fully electric vehicle, brings serious competition to the EV market. Its futuristic-inspired looks pair with capable powertrains, a great range, and high-end comfort, creating the perfect electric SUV for everyday driving.

2024 Toyota bZ4X Performance

The bZ4X is available in two trim levels, both offered with standard front-wheel drive and available with all-wheel drivetrains. The FWD models use a 71.4kWh battery coupled with a single motor for a net output of 201 horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque. This configuration pairs with three standard drive modes, Normal, Eco, and Snow, to offer smooth on-road driving dynamics.

The AWD models use a larger 72.8kWh battery pack and dual motors that produce 214 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. Whether you’re driving up a winding road or navigating a downpour, Toyota’s X-Mode drive modes allow you to adjust performance for optional traction and vehicle control. These modes include specific options for challenging terrains, such as deep snow, mud, or loose sand.

Power to Go a Long Way

The large battery packs used on the RWD and the AWD versions of the BZ4X offer outstanding fuel efficiency and gas-like range. The two AWD models boast estimated fuel efficiency ratings between 102 and 104 MPG equivalent and a range between 222 and 228 miles, enough for a round trip from El Paso to the White Sands National Park.

A FWD trim is a better choice for long-distance driving. These models boast an estimated fuel economy between 112 and 119 MPGe and a range of up to 252 miles. This electric SUV is fast-charge capable, charging the battery from Low Battery Light to 80% in about half an hour at 150kW public charge stations. Level 2 home charging is available if you want to charge the battery fully overnight.

Stunning Design

With a stunning design inside out, the bZ4X is the perfect SUV if you want to make a statement. Its sporty allure is enhanced by a fully covered underbody and lower bumper vents that boost the model’s aerodynamic performance. The base XLE trim comes standard with stylish 18-inch alloy wheels and nice exterior amenities, such as heated side mirrors fitted with fashionable puddle lights, turn signals, and blind spot warning indicators.

The interior is just as handsome with its open layout design and panoramic fixed-glass roof that lets you enjoy plenty of natural light during the ride. Premium comfort features pair with high-end technology. A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with integrated smartphone control comes standard on all trim levels. On the higher trims, an optional 9-speaker JBL Premium Audio system adds a new layer of fun to the many entertainment options.
