Basic Warranty
This warranty covers most components and systems in your Toyota against any material or labor-related manufacturing issue. If a problem is identified, your Toyota dealer will rectify the situation. Any necessary repair will be performed by Toyota-trained technicians using only Toyota-approved replacement parts.
Coverage extends to three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Some components covered by this warranty have reduced coverage. Wheel alignment issues, wheel balancing, or AC recharging are covered for the first year or 12,000 miles. This warranty does not cover some situations, and they are detailed in your warranty booklet.
Hybrid Systems Warranty
If you have a hybrid, its unique systems have extended coverage beyond the standard warranty. The hybrid control module, hybrid battery control module, motor control, and inverter with converter are protected against any issues for eight years or 100,000 miles.
Hybrid Battery Warranty
The hybrid battery is a very specialized component. It’s protected against any defect for ten years or 150,000 miles. All batteries slowly lose capacity over time. This loss is a naturally occurring process, not a defect, so it isn’t covered by warranty protection.
Powertrain Warranty
The engine, transmission, and FWD, or RWD, make up the powertrain. These systems are essential for your vehicle as they allow it to move. All the components in these systems are protected against failure or other issues for five years or 60,000 miles.
Restraint System Warranty
The restraint system is a vital part of your Toyota’s protective systems. They reduce injuries in an accident and can even protect you from any harm. The seatbelt system, seatbelts, airbags, and airbag system are fully protected against any defect for five years or 60,000 miles.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
Corrosion is a serious threat to any metal, as it can rapidly reduce it to a hollow shell. Toyota applies specialized protection to all metal sections and panels in your vehicle to protect them against this threat. This protection is added during the manufacturing process and doesn’t need reapplication unless the vehicle body is damaged in an accident.
Perforation is corrosion that eats through metal and forms a hole from one side of the metal to the other. If perforation appears despite this protection, the affected metal will be replaced at no charge. This warranty applies for five years and unlimited mileage.
